It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald James Watkins (Prospect, Pennsylvania), who passed away on February 6, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Watkins and Ray Watkins; and his sister Phyllis Watkins Crabtree. He is survived by: his children, Donald Joseph "DJ" Watkins (Carol) of State College and Sue Ruth of State College; his grandchildren, Tyler Meek (Haillie) of Guilford, CT, Olivia Watkins of Tacoma, WA, Sarah of State College, Samantha of State College and Donny Watkins of State College; his nephew Phil Crabtree of State College; and his niece Cathy Wirick of London.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public services at this time, but the family will host a celebration of life gathering once the restrictions are lifted.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alpha Fire Company Memorial Scholarship fund or Boy Scout Troop 245 in care of American Legion Post 245.
