He was predeceased by: his brother John. He is survived by: his child Jerry; his mother Mary Ward Donegan; his daughter Kristin Pompei; his son-in-law Nick Pompei; his grandchildren, Emma Pompei and Luke Pompei; and his siblings, Mary Therese Thomas (John), Hugh Ward Jr. (Fran), Joanne Mohrmann (Jeff), Kathleen Dyer, Jeanne Bonnes (Brian) and Eileen Christian (Jef). He is also survived by 24 nieces and nephews.
