He is survived by: his son Scott J. Podunajec of Prompton; and his siblings, Joseph Podunajec (Barbara) of Prompton, Paul "Butch" Podunajec (Barb) of Waymart, Gloria Gebert (Jerry) of Waymart and Barbara Jezercak (David Sr.) of Honesdale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
