He was predeceased by: his wife Meran Cosey (Seiple); and his parents, Charles Cosey and Esther Cosey (Hiddick). He is survived by: his nieces, Barbara Butts (Tom) and Katherine D'Andrea (Cosey); his nephew Robert Cosey (Cindy); and his goddaughter Sherrie Stephens (Brian).
