With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Olga P. McSurdy of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 6, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Pelachick and Julia Straka Pelachick; her husband John; and her brothers, John, Michael, Phillip, Joseph, Stephen, Theodore, Thomas, Andrew and Nicholas.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret A. McSurdy Moran (Alan V. Renish) and John (Mary); and her grandsons, Craig Moran and Michael Tobin. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
She was a volunteer with the American Heart Association, a supporter of the Pottsville Library and the Hillside SPCA and was a kitchen volunteer at the St. Nicholas summer picnics where food preparation was her specialty..
