It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Alice Purcell of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 18, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John J. Mooney and Anna L. Brady Mooney; her husband John F. Purcell; her siblings, John Mooney, William Mooney and Nancy Stoner; her daughter Barbara Purcell Liebner; and her children-in-law, John Liebner and Pat Gilbert Purcell.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Purcell, Kathleen Purcell (Ed Epstein), Paul Purcell (Mary Corcoran), John F. Purcell Jr., Matthew Purcell and Patrick Purcell. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
