She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Brown and Rebecca Brown; her husband Joseph A. Hummel; her close friend Daniel Levengood; her grandson David Hummel; and her siblings, Lewis Brown, Anna Hummel and Fern Roeder.
She is survived by: her sons, Randall (Sandy Hummel) of Stevens, PA, Glenn (Yvonne Hummel) of Pine Grove, Rodney (Faye Hummel) of Schuylkill Haven and Charles (Cynthia Hummel) of Pottsville; and her grandchildren, Lesa (Randy Frederick) of Friedensburg, Mark, Rebecca, Valerie, Stacey, Corey, Jay, Robin, Charles Jr., Pamela, Dana, Nicole and Corrine. She is also survived by nieces & nephews.
The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to St. John's Reformed Church Cemetery, PO Box 58, Friedensburg PA 17933 or National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, PO Drawer 498, Emmitsburg MD 21727 in memory of Joseph Hummel.
