He is survived by: his children, George Purcell (Alice) and Elizabeth Hemerly; his grandchildren, Gary Hemerly, Angela Purcell and George Purcell; and his great grandchildren, Devon Michael Hemerly, Charlie Marie Louise Hemerly, Natalie Purcell, Connor Purcell and Bella Purcell.
