It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis R. Purcell of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Purcell and Frances Angelo Purcell; his wife Elizabeth Hollick Purcell; and his brothers, Thomas, Vincent, William and James Purcell.
He is survived by: his sons, Jason Purcell, Jordan Purcell and Joshua Purcell; his granddaughters, Taylor, Rieleigh, Kylee and Madeline; and his siblings, Rose Moyer of Minersville, Mary Polinsky (Ted) of Forestville, Rhoda Weir of Forestville, John Purcell (Joann) of Cressona and Theresa Walsh of Mar Lin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park Schuylkill Haven The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Butch be made to St. Patrick Memorial Fund, 319 Mahantongo St. Pottsville, PA 17901.
