She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Schmitt (Rosenberger) and Albert Schmitt; and her siblings, Mary Yeastadt, Elizabeth Barone, Albert "Butch" and William "Hick" Schmitt.
She is survived by: her husband Richard D. Brown; her children, Loretta Wonchalk of Seltzer and Andrew Slifko of Pottsville; her stepchildren, Cindy Brown of New Philadelphia and Richard Brown (Sue) of Schuylkill Haven; and her siblings, Ann Marie (Frank Richter) of Auburn, Adelaide "Patsy" Trabosh of Pottsville and John Schmitt of Pottsville. She is also survived by four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
