She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Higgins; her parents, Chester B. Lawson and Henrietta Lawson (Caproni); and her siblings, Chester B. Lawson, Jr., Hermia Lawson Gallagher, Vincent Lawson, Ruth Anne Lawson Morrisey and David Lawson.

She is survived by: her sister Helene Lawson (Rabuck); and her nieces and nephews, Barbara Gallagher Stoffa, James P. Gallagher, Richard Rabuck, Carol Rabuck, David C. Lawson, Georgia Lawson Mayer and Barbara Lawson Manchester.
