With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Heffner (Pottsville, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 7, 2021 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Heffner to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Schoffstall Richards and John J Richards; her sister Shirley; and her daughter Evelyn (George Heffner). She is survived by: her husband George Heffner; her brother John Richards of Washington's Crossing; her children, Kimberly Carberry (Glen Carberry) of Norwich and George Heffner Jr. (Susan) of Orwigsburg; her grandchildren, Christopher, Caroline Carberry, Brittany, Danielle and Emily Heffner; and her great grandchild Charlotte Tassone. She is also survived by many friends because she was a friend a friend.
Services will be deferred for a celebration of life after Covid subsides.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers any donations to go to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St., Pottsville, PA 17901.
