He was predeceased by: his parents, William O. Marvel and Edith D. Marvel (Dragoo); his son William W. Marvel, Jr.; his granddaughter Heather Leigh Marvel; and his sisters, Jean I. Tweedie and Dorothy V. Sibole.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine C. Marvel (Metzger); his son Bruce R. Marvel (Deborah J.); his grandchildren, Karen A. DiMarco (George DiMarco), Matthew Marvel, Trappe, Ashley Mossie (Daniel Mossie), Exeter, Brett W. Marvel (Aubrey Marvel), Eric T. Marvel (Bethany Marvel), Ryan J. Marvel (Lauren Marvel), John Cassady Jr. (Amanda Cassady) and Temple; and his great grandchildren, Noah, Becky, Riley, Hunter, Jack, Leah, Ellie and Olivia.
