He was predeceased by: his spouse Georgiann M. Schaeffer (Davidheiser); his parents, Norman H. Schaeffer and Margaret E. Schaeffer (Binder); and his brothers, Linwood Schaeffer, Kenneth Schaeffer and Walter Schaeffer.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Wade (Randy), Randy Schaeffer (Teri) and Mark Schaeffer (Walt); his grandchildren, Dr. Bradley Schaeffer and Katie English (Ian); his great grandchildren, Zayden and Arabella English; and his sister Eleanor Carroll.
