He was predeceased by: his father Barry Hails; and his stepsister Sarah Lance. He is survived by: his mother Lizanne Elliott (Mark); his wife Amber L. Hails (Lichtley); his daughters, Riley and Ella Hails; his siblings, Cody Hails (Veronica) of Reading, PA, Shane Hails (Mackenzie Shute) of Elverson, PA and Rebecca Braswell (Chris); and his stepsisters, Lydia Elliott and Carrie Emerich (Jeff). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
