She is survived by: her daughter Amanda Oliva; her son-in-law Thomas Oliva; her son Matthew Sundermier; her daughter-in-law Stephanie Sundermier; and her granddaughters, Gracie, June Burak, Lily, Ava, Gabrielle and Lina Sundermier. She is also survived by four brothers and three nephews and a niece.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Muriel's honor to the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary in support of her lifelong commitment to the wild Mustang horses in South Dakota.
