He was predeceased by: his children, Robert Carter, Pamala Butler and Kelly Carter; and his sisters, Christine and Marie.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Mark Carter, Larry Carter, Sidney Porter, Keith Carter, Guy Carter, Kim Carter, Jay Carter and Timothy Carter. He is also survived by two nieces, many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
