He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Bates and Mary Evelyn Galloway (Mentzer); and his brothers, Barry and Gordon (Barbara). He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Bechtel (Terry) of Barto, PA and Andrea Pezzimenti (Joseph) of Fairfield, CT; his grandchildren, Zachary Bechtel (Mary) and Bethany Matase (Benjamin); his sister Ava; his great grandchild Emilia Bechtel; and his sister Bonnie Getz (Steven). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews.
