She was predeceased by: her parents, James T. Smith and Auritta P. Smith (Collins); and her sister-in-law Soraya Phillips. She is survived by: her husband Tony Phillips; her adoptive parents, Susan Herman and Francis Herman; her children, Eziah Valtez James Phillips and Tylaisha Donique Phillips; her stepdaughters, Tanesha Dashaun Jackson (Chris) and Alissa Monet Phillips; her siblings, Ranita Smith (Darnell Underwood) and Keith Herman; her grandchildren, Na'eem, Jamir and Hayden; her sisters-in-law, Annette Lacey, Dionne Phillips (Reuben Marshall) and Terry Phillips; her nieces and nephews, Promize Underwood and Ky'lif Underwood; and her precious, Shih-Poo and Kash. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
