She is survived by: her sons, Fred Whitehawk (Karen) and Michael Whitehawk (Christine); her brother Andrew Melle of Norristown; her grandchildren, Quinby Whitehawk, Jennifer Whitehawk, Melissa Bennett (Kevan), Lucas Whitehawk, Nicolette Whitehawk, Dan Webb and Molly Whitehawk; her great grandchildren, Kerry Galanos and Michael Lynch; and her great great grandchildren, Gianna, Aria, Luca, Layla, Thaddeus and Nathaniel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School (1301 N Main St, Chamberlain, SD 57325) in Doris' name.
