He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles I. Sr. Wurster and Elizabeth Catherine Wurster (Brown Locke); his sister June Dressnandt; and his stepdaughter Taissa Drobish. He is survived by: his children, Laurie Flynn (Raymond "Greg"), Charles Wurster III, Paul Wurster (Susan Wan) and Lisa van Heerden; his stepchildren, John Hawranick, Jr. and Tamara Rosso; and his brother Walter Wurster.
