It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Lois Brethauer (Portersville, Pennsylvania), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 24, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Edwin D. Brautigam; her husband William Carl Brethauer Jr.; her son-in-law Tom Shaffer; and her siblings, Edwin Brautigam, Dolores Tew and Ernest Brautigam.
She is survived by: her parent Clara B. Brautigam (Spotts); her children, Eric Brethauer (MaryJane), Kirk Brethauer (Carol), Michele Shaffer (Gary Fisher), Laura Hawkins (Mike) and Brenda Herold (Jim); her grandchildren, Jennifer Lang (Hawkins), Amanda Hawkins, Bette Jane Brethauer, Ken Doerr, Andrea Furka (Shaffer), Luke Shaffer, Katie Shaffer, Alex Herold, Levi Herold and Marina Snowden; and her great grandchild Logan Shaffer.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that monetary donations be made to the HOPE Food Pantry, P.O. Box 455, Zelienople, PA 16063, which is a ministry of the Zelienople Church of the Nazarene.
