He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Sr. Schaffranek and Sofia Schaffranek (Moxim); his wife Virginia Brunnet; his daughter Rebecca; his son-in-law Walter Solarczyk; his siblings, Frederick, Jr. (Carol), Florence Helsel and Carol Hopper (Dave); and his brother-in-law Elwood Helsel.
He is survived by: his children, Alan V. Schaffranek (Phyllis Deremer) of Portage, PA and Bonnie Solarczyk of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandchildren, Tracy Wudski (Tony), Chad Schaffranek, Alan Schaffranek, Jr. (Jonathan Holman), John Schaffranek, Kimberly Daley, Geoffrey Solarczyk and Kathleen Staton (Joshua); and his sister Debbie Cooper (William). He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
