Ramona Sweeney Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2025, at the age of 92, Ramona Sweeney of Portage, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Blair Stombaugh and Lavada Stombaugh (Over); her husband William J. Sweeney; her son Vincent E. Sweeney; her granddaughter Patricia Ann Sweeney; and her siblings, Catherine, James, Wilda Servinsky, William, Jack, Clifford and Betty Croyle.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra (Galen Baxter) and Kimberly (Scott Forst); her daughter-in-law Vicky Sweeney of Portage; her grandchildren, Garrett (Joelle), Vanessa, Chelsea (Brad), Christopher, Michael (Melissa), Matthew, Jordan (Jerry) and Gabriel; her siblings, Joan Reese (Roger), Mary Rzeszut (Joseph), Theodore, Kenneth (JoAnn) and Dennis; her sisters-in-law, Heidi Stombaugh and Gail Johnson (Bernard); and her pet Chloe. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home (614 Cambria St, Portage, PA 15946). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethany United Methodist Church (700 Farren St, Portage, PA 15946).
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church.
