He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Clair" and Eunola Adams (Lysinger); his siblings, Clair Adams, Marie Bozich and Gloria Tewart; and his mother-in-law Betty Gordon.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Adams (Gordon); his children, Robert Adams (Sallie) of Moon Twp, PA, Robyn Adams of New Cumberland, PA, Rebecca Jordan (John) of Leesburg, VA and Ryan Adams (Carol) of Johnstown, PA; his grandchildren, Shannon Schultz (Ben), Ryan Jr., Jacob Adams, Johnny III, Madison and Sarah Jordan; and his siblings, Chuck Adams, Nola Jean Fletcher, Herbert Adams and Rev. Thomas Gordon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Portage Endowment, care of Community Foundation for the Alleghenies at 216 Franklin Street, Suite 400, Johnstown, PA 15901 .
