He was predeceased by: his parents, Sara Mae Rice and Vernon C. Zettle; his stepparents, Helen Zettle and Walter Eichenberger; his sister Katharine Eichenberger; and his grandson Jeffrey Donbach Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Judith Zettle (Book); his daughters, Katharine Bennett (Joseph), Tracy Donbach (Bob Huff) and Sara; his grandchildren, Tiffany McIlhenny, Ian Bennett (Miranda) and Addison Bennett; his great grandchildren, Samuel McIlhenny VI and Jamison Souders; his siblings, Connie Davis (Pete Witteman), Tess Eichenberger (Anne Geheb) and William Eichenberger; and his pet Judy. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion (29 S Main St, Mifflintown, PA 17059).
