He was predeceased by: his parent Oscar Groninger. He is survived by: his parent Clara "Babe" Groninger (Kauffman); his wife Jean Groninger (Stutts); his daughter-in-law Don S. Groninger; and his sisters, Dorothy Jane Smith, Annabelle Postal, Sarah Dickson, Elizabeth Graham and Edie Switzer.
