He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Basalla Sr. and Mary Basalla (Kirko); his siblings, Joseph, David Basalla and Pauline Verbiak; and his great grandchildren, Roy and William Burke.
He is survived by: his wife Verna Basalla (Gomola); his children, Kathryn Burke (Michael) of Warriors Mark, John Basalla (Donna) of Port Matilda, Robert Basalla Jr. of Port Matilda and Cindy Walk of Port Matilda; his grandchildren, Corey Burke (Megan Hill) of Warriors Mark, Chad Burke (Kacee) of Port Matilda, John Basalla (Kayla) of Runville, Skylar Diehl (Evan) of Howard, Brittany Dunn (Gregg) of Camas, WA, Katelyn Basalla (Aaron Sallade) of Warriors Mark, Brandon Walk of Port Matilda, Nash Walk of Port Matilda and Piney Walk of Port Matilda; his great grandchildren, Alison, Piper, Meadow, Byron, Cooper, Beau, Leland, Nova, Lydia, Arlen and Avery; and his sisters, Rose Granite of Clarence, Mary Jane Davidson (Paul) of Runville and Patsy Holden (Ken) of Philipsburg.
