He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Heaton and Velta Dillen Heaton; and his siblings, Walter Heaton, Dale Heaton, Janet H. Wood and Joy Brantner.
He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Heaton (Davis); his sons, Brian Heaton (Jodi) of Julian and Steven Heaton (Jennifer) of Chesapeake, VA; and his grandchildren, Kyle Bowes (Jacey), Cristen (Brodie), Chase Heaton and Ty Heaton of Chesapeake, VA.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
