He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward and Mae Coral Vaughn (Watkins); his sister Betty Dreese; and his nephew Steve Way. He is survived by: his wife Beatrice J. Lawrence; his daughters, Melissa Swartz (Kevin) of Red Lion, PA, Kimberly Wern (Kenneth) of Angier, NC and Lisa Shelow (Dave) of Cary, NC; and his grandchildren, Camden Wern, Gwendolyn Wern and Hanna Swartz.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Haky/Georgiana Centre County Funeral Home (1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Charles to Woodycrest United Methodist Church, 219 W. Clearview Avenue, State College, PA 16803.
