With solemn reverence, we commemorate Brian S. Wintersteen of Port Carbon, Pennsylvania, born in Baltimore, Maryland, whose life came to an end on September 21, 2024 at the age of 76, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Wintersteen and Roland Wintersteen of Port Carbon, PA; his brother Roland Bruce Wintersteen; and his wife Joyce Kay Wintersteen. He is survived by: his children, Diana Kirby, Bryan Wintersteen (Beth), Jeffrey Kirby and Laurie White; his grandchildren, Stewart Snapp IV, Bryan Wintersteen (Carlie), Blake Wintersteen, Brock Wintersteen, Betsy Wintersteen, Mackenzie White, Christopher White, Andrew White and Cooper White; and his nieces, Melissa Harding (Scott) and Diana Holland (Michael).
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium Hardesty Chapel (202 S Laws St, Bridgeville, DE 19933). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes Hardesty Chapel (202 S Laws St, Bridgeville, DE 19933). During covid, Brian and Joyce started a telephone bible study with our Texas family that lasted four years only pausing when Brian recently became ill.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Brian to New Hope Church, Manvel, TX, New Hope Church - Brian Wintersteen commemoration, Brian's favorite church during his years in Houston, Texas; or, Union Methodist Church, Bridgeville, DE, Union Methodist Church - Brian Wintersteen commemoration, our community church where Brian once served as a member of the choir.
