He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward M. Knapp and Evelyne E. Bailey Knapp; his son Delancy E. Knapp; and his siblings, Edward, Richard Knapp and Rosalee "Rosie" Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine V. Minard; his sons, Eagle Scout, Duran D. Knapp (Peggy) of Coudersport, Darcy W. Knapp (Laurie) of Port Allegany, Darin J. Knapp (Jane) of Chapel Hill, NC and Danylee M. Knapp (Crystal Tanner) of Smethport; and his grandchildren, Steven S. Knapp, Jarod M. Knapp (Moriah), Eli C. Knapp (Lauren), Chelsie L. Knapp, Brandy C. Benson (Brian), Tara J. Knapp, Jacob M. Knapp and Hannah L. Knapp. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
