He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Abe" Snyder and Lucille "Tuckey" Snyder (Stevens); his brother James; his wife Linda Kay Snyder; his daughter Shelly Jo Snyder; and his sister Shirley Ghering.

He is survived by: his son William "Butchie" Snyder, Jr. (Tammy); his sister Linda (Jim); his niece Anna McMurdy (Bill); his nephews, Jim Lusher (Denise) and Danny Lusher (Misty); his brother-in-law Bo Ghering (late Shirley); his nephew Jeff Finch; and his nieces, Wendy Weiss (Jeff), Jessica Dovenberg (Ryan) and Serena Ghering. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
