We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2022, at the age of 78, Mary Lou Lopata of Polk, Pennsylvania, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hovanec and Dorothy Hovanec (Stipanovich). She is survived by: her husband Gerald J. Lopata; her sons, Gerald (Julie) and Gregg (Karie); her grandchildren, Jenna, Ryan and Jacob; her siblings, John Hovanec (Dianne), David Hovanec, Kathy Kravec (John), Rick Hovanec (Janis), Ronald Hovanec (Judy) and Mark Hovanec (Melissa); her extended family, James Lopata (Kathy), Albert Lopata (Debbie), Joseph Lopata (Debbie) and William Lopata; and her sons, Michael Skruch and Jason Platz. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and two special friends.
