It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence Elmer Purcell Sr. of Polk, Pennsylvania, born in Passaic, New Jersey, who passed away on December 17, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Purcell Sr. and Beatrice Purcell (VanGhere); his sons, Lawrence E. Purcell Jr. and Isaac Houston Purcell; his grandchildren, Alisha, Mercedes and Thomas Purcell; his brother George Purcell Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Billy, Bobby Jones and Irene Malaszuk.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Purcell (Jones); his daughters, Andrea Ritchie (Thomas) of Mantua, NJ, Lisa Purcell of Garfield, NJ, Carrieanne Purcell of Sewell, NJ. and Jaimie Purcell of Sewell, NJ.; his sister Diane Molinaro (Rick) of Melbourne, FL; his sisters-in-law, Nancy Scarpulla (Tony) of Lodi, NJ and Linda Culepepper (Greg) of Garfield, NJ; and his brother Ernie Jones (Marie) of Garfield, NJ.. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Due to the pandemic no services are scheduled at this time, a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
