He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur A. Dunlap and Mae Dunlap (Beach); his wife Lois J. Shields; and his siblings, William, Wallace, Richard Dunlap and Sadie Lou Tomlinson.

He is survived by: his children, Daniel Dunlap (Tammey) of Titusville and Karen Monks (Howard) of Rocky Grove; his grandchildren, Nathan Dunlap of Franklin, Korey Dunlap of Hermitage, Jennifer Potter (Joel) of Franklin and Josh Monks of Franklin; and his great grandchildren, Bethany Lyn Dunlap, Jacob Wade Potter and Jarett Stanley Potter.
