He was predeceased by: his significant other Eleanor M. Condy McLaughlin; his parents, Robert McLaughlin and Gertrude Higgins McLaughlin; his son Kenneth McLaughlin; and his siblings, Charles J. McLaughlin, Robert McLaughlin, John McLaughlin, Elizabeth Salerno, Catherine Boyle and Gertrude Crawford.
He is survived by: his children, Agnes O'Toole and Joseph McLaughlin, Jr. (Linda); his sister Margaret Welke; and also Joe. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
