He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Mercer and Miram M. Mercer. He is survived by: his wife Joan (Bowers); his children, John C. Mercer, III, Scott K. Mercer (Jeanette) and Lisa A. Glinane (Steve); his grandchildren, Deb Mercer of John Mercer, IV., Branden Mercer, Mathew Smith (Krissy) and Richie Farrell; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Zdichowski, Alana Smith and Timothy Smith.
