He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Johnson and Loretta Johnson (Costello). He is survived by: his wife Ingrid Johnson (Halfmann); his children, Christine Ducey (Matthew), Kevin Johnson (Susan) and Thomas Johnson (Kelly); his siblings, Kathleen Frank and Kenneth Johnson (Estelle); his grandchildren, Christopher, Cameron, Stephen, Kaitlin, Patrick, Jenny, Sarah and Emily; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Ella and Faye; and his nieces and nephews, Diana, Christopher, Renee, Denise, Christel and Udo.
