She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernst Conrads and Louise Conrads (Kern); and her brother Ernie Conrads. She is survived by: her husband Russell Schmidt; her daughters, Sue Baumann, Laura Schmidt and Lisa Olszyk (Rich); her sister Margaret Hoeckle; and her grandchildren, Scott Baumann, Brynn Baumann and Jake Olszyk.
