She was predeceased by: her husband Casper Simon of Wilkes-Barre; her stepdaughter Carol Ruff; her sister-in-law Carol Makaravage; her niece Lori Mihalko; and her pet Angel.
She is survived by: her boyfriend James Gwynn; her stepchildren, Benjamin Simon (Sharon), Billy Simon, Linda Smith and Helen O'Connor; and her siblings, Frank Makaravage, Robert Makaravage (Roberta) and Carol Savage (Bernard). She is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County.
