He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Murphy Hughes; and his siblings, Joseph, Thomas, Jane O'Shaughnessy, Catherine Raisch, Patricia Miljenovic and Mary Morris.
He is survived by: his sons, Edward (Gwendolyn), Eugene (Patricia), Robert (Valerie), Timothy Thomas (Aurora), Christopher (Marie), Brian (Linda) and Donald (Mary). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
