We are sad to announce that on December 1, 2023, at the age of 80, Edward E. Coates of Pleasantville, Pennsylvania, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Rudolph Coates and Stella Sutton Coates. He is survived by : his children, Daniel Coates (Elizabeth) of Pleasantville and Brenda Morrow (Scott) of Pleasantville; his grandchildren, Nastasha Coates-Ceresa (Michael), Joshua (Krista), Melissa and Tristan; his brother Rudolph "Buddy" Coates of Bethel Park, PA; and his nieces, Dawn, Billie Jo and Nancy Ann. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
