He was predeceased by: his parents, John Humko Sr. and Catherine Matusick Humko; his wife Anna; his son John Humko III; his brothers, William Humko and Walter Humko; and his granddaughter Alexandra.

He is survived by: his children, Debra Pizano (James) of West Wyoming and David Humko (Gail) of Harding; his daughter-in-law Sandy Humko of Shavertown; his grandchildren, Tiffany Beagle (Jeremy), Jessica DeSanto (Sean) and Alicia Pizano; his great grandchildren, Madeline, Matthew DeSanto and Waylon Beagle; and his sister Joan DiAndriole. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
