She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Matzel and Mary Zapotoczny Matzel of Wilkes-Barre; and her sister Carol. She is survived by: her children, Brian (Elizabeth) of Berea, OH, Michael, Donald (Courtney), Jennifer and Dallas; her siblings, Evelyn Matzel, June Januszko, Robert Matzel (Gail) of Harvey's Lake and Richard Matzel (Katherine) of Friendship, MD; her grandchildren, Cassandra, Adam, Benjamin, Natasha, Haylie, Ayden, Maxwell, Olivia, Matthew, Michael and Donny Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Gabriel, Beau, Parker, Finn and Blake. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc. (55 Stark St, Hudson, PA 18705). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Saints Peter and Paul Church (13 Hudson Rd, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM.
