He was predeceased by: his wife Florence Abel (Dolly); and his parents, Frank Abel and Elsie Abel (Klump). He is survived by: his nieces, Kathleen Owens (Robert) and Diane Huber (Michael); his great-nephews, Andrew John Owens and Michael Thomas Huber (Jessica); and also Anastasia Huber.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Earl's name may be offered to the church.
