He was predeceased by: his parents, William Higgins and Glenna Higgins; and his wife Sharon A. Higgins (Heckman). He is survived by: his children, Richard Gromes (Tara) of Stroudsburg and Melanie Maldonado (Mario) of Bushkill. He is also survived by four grandchildren six great grandchildren.
