We are sad to announce that on August 22, 2021, at the age of 81, Robert Barbieri formerly of Pittston, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Henrietta Barbieri (Frati); his parents, Nicholas Barbieri and Mary Barbieri (Markovitch); and his nephew Frank Wozniack. He is survived by: his son Nicholas Barbieri; his daughter-in-law Nina Barbieri; his daughter Maria Barbieri Jarrell; his son-in-law Eric Jarrell; his sister Marie Barbieri Cherundolo; his brother-in-law Charles Cherundolo; his parents-in-law, Eleanor Bruno, Atillio "Butch" Frati, Anita and Robert Brown; and his grandchildren, Mia, Nick, Rob Barbieri and Ellie Jarrell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Robert's memory by making donations to Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit, 100 William St., Dunmore, PA 18510.

“Sorry to hear of Mr. Barbieri's passing. He was my gym teacher at Old Forge Elementary School and I never forgot him. He was on one of the nicest persons I ever knew. He always encouraged me and told me to consider playing football which I eventually did. The things they say about him now which are all good are also very true. My condolences to his family.”
