It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Paul McNamara (Pittston, Pennsylvania), born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 3, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John McNamara and Ann Miller McNamara; his daughters, Colleen and Michele Leoncini; and his sister Ellen Mahoney.

He is survived by: his wife Elli Koutsoukos McNamara; his children, Marcy Rose McNamara, Mima Brunges Suscon (Gregg) and Vito Buzzetta (Marytheresa); his grandsons, Austin Leoncini and Eugene Buzzetta; and his brothers, Dr. Kevin P. McNamara and John McNamara (Anna). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
