He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Boyle, Sr. and Marion K. McDonald Boyle; his sister Kathryn Zongila (William Zongila); and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Boyle, Merrie Watkins Boyle and Patrick LaPorte, Sr..

He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Boyle LaPorte of Irmo, SC, Ann Boyle Cocco (Philip, Sr.), Michael Boyle, Lafayette Hill and John Boyle. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Care and Concern Free Health Clinic, 37 William Street, Pittston, Pennsylvania.
